Herbert Likes Pink
Local nursery school teacher, Dawn Brown, has written this charming story about a boy called Herbert who likes pink. His friends laugh at first and tell him boys can't like pink, but Herbert shows them lots of things that they like that are pink and they soon realise pink is a pretty great colour. See Our Books for more details.

New! The King Who Looked for an Island
Just out: the latest Fuzzypig Book is by Dorset author Chrissie White and is beautifully illustrated throughout by Liz Poulain:

Chrissie knew what the king looked like and created a series of pencil sketches which Liz then used as the basis for many of the full-colour illustrations throughout the book. If you look carefully, you'll find Chrissie herself in some of the illustrations. See if you can guess who she is...
Working with Waterstones in Dorchester
The staff at Waterstones in Dorchester are very committed to the local community, and love supporting local writers and artists. Back in March 2018, Jan, the manager at Waterstones, invited us to launch Fuzzypig Books at the store, and Liz Poulain created a window display to go with the launch. Jan and the staff liked the collage Liz produced and asked if she'd create another one for them. So she did – Liz has been creating panoramic collages for Waterstones' Dorchester store ever since. The latest onehas a Springtime theme and should be in place behind the counter at Waterstones soon. The four collages she has created for Waterstones so far have been:
a front window display to go with the launch of Fuzzypig Books
a summer collage (behind the counter)
an autumn collage (behind the counter)
a Christmas collage which was also an advent calendar (behind the counter)
